Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-08-24 · CHAOS is an adult (18+) party game.
The short version
CHAOS is built to know as little about you as possible. Guests never create accounts. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
What we collect
- Guests (players who join a game): only the display name you type for the round and your in-game actions (drawings, guesses, votes). No account, no email, no phone number. Game rooms are temporary; room data is deleted when the room expires.
- Hosts: a purchase unlock ("host pass") is stored so your purchase keeps working. If you optionally sign in with your email, we store that email and link your purchase to it so it can be restored on another device. Sign-in is by emailed magic link — we never store passwords.
- Purchases: handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive a signed receipt to verify the purchase; we never see your payment details.
- Recently played content: to avoid repeating prompts across your recent game nights, we store which content items your sessions used (for up to 30 days), keyed to the host pass — not to any personal identity.
Party Cam photos
Photos and videos taken with Party Cam stay on your device. Sharing uses your phone's own share sheet — nothing is uploaded to our servers.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad identifiers.
- No sale or sharing of personal data.
- No third-party analytics or tracking.
- No collection of contacts, location, or photos.
Drinking safety
Alcohol is never required to play. Every consequence has a sober option and hosts can switch the room to alcohol-free mode at any time, including mid-game. The game does sometimes put a drinking prompt to one named player — that is the Dare-or-Shot loop — but only ever to someone who told us they are drinking, and always with something non-alcoholic they can raise instead. Say you are not drinking and no drinking prompt is ever aimed at you.
Data retention & deletion
Game rooms and their contents are deleted automatically when they expire. Content-history entries expire after 30 days. Host accounts and passes are kept while active. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time — open the menu, choose Your account, and confirm. That removes your account and every way of signing back into it. Your purchase stays valid on the device you bought it on; it simply stops being linked to an account. We keep the purchase record itself, with no account attached to it, because that record is the receipt proving the sale.
